At Mirage, you will learn Belly Dance and Belly Funk quickly and easily due to our exclusive Mirage Method of Accelerated Belly Dance Instruction™ (or more simply, The Mirage Method™).   With The Mirage Method, each Belly Dance and Belly Funk move is broken down into easy-to-learn parts that are brought together into the beautiful and sensuous moves of Belly Dance and the energetic and punchy moves of Belly Funk.  Even more powerfully unique to the Mirage Method, dance moves are taught in a very specific order that builds your knowledge and dance abilities in a very fast, fun and extremely effective way.
The Mirage Method was developed by France and Francine Laplante, the owners of Mirage Dance Studios, each having over 20 years of professional Belly Dance experience.  France and Francine are recognized as two of the best Belly Dancers in the world today having performed over 1600 professional shows to date.

How can I Pay?  Does Mirage accept credit cards?
Yes. Payment may be made by VISA, MasterCard, check or cash.  And remember, to qualify for our 33 % OFF New Student Discount, you must register and pay at one of our Early Registration Events.  You will be advised of the locations, dates and times of these events.

Where does Mirage teach?
Mirage has 2 teaching locations in Orleans, 1 location in Embrun and 1 location in Rockland.  These are listed at the bottom of this page along with maps for your convenience.

What should I wear to Class?
Stretch pants or shorts with a comfortable, close fitting top. Athletic or smooth soled shoes or ballet / jazz / gymnastic slippers.

Do I need to buy anything special to take classes?
The only thing you will need to buy is a veil for Belly Dance classes, which you can purchase from Mirage.  Veil prices start at $45.  (Veils are not needed for Belly Funk.)  You will only need to have your veil by your 5^th to 6^th class of the semester when lessons with veil start.

While optional, you may want to buy a hip scarf as having one can be helpful for learning certain hip moves both in Belly Dance and Belly Funk classes.  If you are not familiar with hip scarves, they are simply a shawl with coins sewn on to it.  The hip scarf is tied around your hips and accentuates movement with the noise made by the coins as you shake your stuff.  Mirage sells hip scarves at its Product Sales with prices ranging from $45 to $85.  Depending upon the price, style, and your personal preference, a hip scarf can be chosen that makes more or less noise compared to others.
